The £97 Legacy Diagnostic

Finally — a clear picture of where your child is, and how they actually learn.

School reports give you a grade. Most tutors say "they're doing fine." Our diagnostic goes further: a full written audit across the core GCSE subjects, plus a 60-minute deep-dive with a specialist on how your child learns best.

What you get for £97 — in two parts.

The diagnostic is delivered in two complementary layers. One looks at where your child is academically. The other looks at how their brain actually works.

Part 1 · Written diagnostic

GCSE Maths, English & Science Diagnostic

A full written audit across the five core GCSE subjects — Maths, English, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. Topic by topic, gap by gap.

  • Topic-by-topic gap analysis across Maths, English and the three Sciences — exactly what's holding the grade back.
  • The grade your child is realistically working at right now — not the optimistic prediction school is giving you.
  • A prioritised fix-list — what to tackle first, in what order, to move the grade fastest.
Part 2 · Specialist session

60-minute specialist tutor-led diagnostic

A live 1-to-1 with a senior subject specialist. The part no written test can do — how your child's brain actually works under exam conditions.

  • Live, 1-to-1 with a senior subject specialist — not a written test, not an algorithm.
  • Identifies how your child actually learns — the techniques that stick vs. the ones wasting their revision hours.
  • Pinpoints why previous tutoring or revision hasn't moved the needle — and what will.
After the diagnostic, you'll know
  • A realistic target grade — and a clear route to get there.
  • Which topics are most likely dragging the grade down — and which to leave alone for now.
  • The revision styles that tend to actually work for your child's learning style.
  • Why previous tutoring may not have moved the needle (and what to try instead).
  • A written plan you can hand to school, to grandparents, to anyone.

Diagnostic — frequently asked.

Is the diagnostic compulsory?

No. The free trial lesson is the entry point. The £97 diagnostic is an optional upgrade — most parents add it because the level of detail is something they've never had before, but you don't have to.

Can I add the diagnostic after the free trial?

Yes. You can add it during the booking flow, or any time after the trial lesson. There's no time limit.

Who delivers the 60-minute specialist session?

A senior tutor from the relevant subject area, trained on our diagnostic framework. It is not the same person who delivers your weekly tutoring (the diagnostic is independent).

Online or in person?

Both options are available. Online by default; in person on request where geographically possible.

Is the £97 refundable?

Yes, in line with our refund policy. If, after delivery, you don't feel the diagnostic gave you genuine new insight, contact us within 14 days.

What if my child is younger than GCSE?

The diagnostic in its current form is built for GCSE students (Years 9–11). If your child is in Year 7 or 8, contact us and we'll let you know what's appropriate.
